To everyone who joined, tested, posted, and showed up for SoCal Offroaders — thank youfor being part of this project. Building this community meant a lot, and I'm grateful you gave it your time and energy.
Unfortunately, we've hit a legal wall. The core idea — inviting others to participate in off-roading as a large-scale, organized event— carries serious liability risk. No stack of disclaimers can fully shield an organizer if someone is seriously hurt or worse. I'm not willing to take that gamble with the legal system, or with anyone's safety.
Because of that, SoCal Offroaders is shutting down. The app and website are offline, and all user accounts are being deleted along with associated personal data.
This was not an easy call. I'd rather close the project than put riders — or myself — in a position where one bad day becomes a lawsuit nobody can walk away from.
I'm still keeping my Instagram up — it'll slowly shift into my truck account, Baja, over time. Until then… see you on the trails!
